Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns has officially launched a Housing Land Trust!
Our first project is off to a great start and we can't wait to show you Weston Village - a 30 lot, single family home development, focused on getting our working class families into decent, safe, and ultimately affordable housing! This project will have an emphasis of helping individuals making between 80% and 120% of our area median income.
How are we making this affordable you ask?
Well great question and we're glad you asked it! Habitat will retain ownership of the land (land trust) while the homeowner will own the structure. Additionally, we will further subsidize the structure to be 80% of the fair market value.
